About the Program

The ATM Midwifery Training Program is a 27 month  Department of State Health Services accredited midwifery education program that prepares students for licensure in Texas. Didactic requirements are met through a variety of methods, including internet learning, home study, and attendance at workshops. Clinical requirements are met through a mandatory apprenticeship of at least 18 months with an approved preceptor. Students who successfully complete the program and pass the state administered exam will qualify for licensure in the State of Texas and may apply for Certification through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM).
